Close-up of a player scooping a low dink just over the net, paddle face open near the court surface

You won’t always play good!

Universal Rackets’ process tip: you won’t always play well, but players who troubleshoot win more. If you’re repeatedly popping balls up, run a flowchart — grip too tight? Face too open? — and change one variable on the next point instead of blaming the day.

Action items

  • After a pop-up streak, check grip tightness then paddle face
  • Change one mechanical cue next point (not three)
  • Replace “bad day” talk with “what’s different next ball?”
